    Step 1

    Your Pod notices a pattern

If the Pod picks up a pattern over several nights that may be linked to a sleep disorder, like snoring and repeated awakenings, you'll get a notification in the app with the option to connect with a doctor.

  2. Do you snore loudly?

Louder than talking, or loud enough to be heard through a closed door

    YesNo

    Step 2

You take a quick virtual evaluation

Answer a brief three-minute questionnaire about your sleep and health in the Eight Sleep app.

  3. 1 NEW MESSAGE

Your care team sent you a message

They've evaluated your profile and have next steps for you.

    Step 3

    A doctor reviews your case

An independent, board-certified doctor, licensed in your state, reviews your answers and nightly Pod data, then messages you directly in the app.

  4. Step 4

Access testing and treatment, when appropriate

If the doctor recommends it, an at-home sleep test ships to you. If you're diagnosed, the doctor may recommend treatment, such as CPAP therapy or medication.

Care from independent,
board-certified doctors

Connect with board-certified doctors at MDI Medical Group, licensed in your state. They review your concerns alongside your nightly Pod data, decide whether testing is needed, and help you access treatment if it's right for you.

The Pod flags a pattern. A doctor makes every clinical decision.

Your questions, answered

Does the Pod diagnose sleep apnea?

No. The Pod picks up a signal, not a diagnosis. Only a licensed doctor can diagnose sleep apnea, usually after an at-home sleep test.

What happens to my data?

Your evaluation answers go to a doctor at MDI Medical Group PC and become part of your medical record there. While you complete the virtual evaluation, Eight Sleep saves a draft of your answers for up to 30 days and deletes it when you submit. With your permission, Eight Sleep shares your Pod sleep data with the doctor so they can review it. If you take an at-home sleep test, Eight Sleep receives the report to deliver it to you and the doctor, and deletes its copy after [30] days. Eight Sleep keeps basic account and shipping details for up to one year to support later steps. Eight Sleep does not sell your health information or use it for advertising.
